Iya Sangoyemi

Iyanifa Ifatoke Sangoyemi OmiBimiLeke (Iya Sangoyemi) is a Priest of Ifa, Sango, Yemoja, and has been a practitioner of Ifa for 17 years. She believes the Arts are a tool of transformative healing, and uses performance as well as production as a means of reflection of self and society as a whole. As an Educator, she has inspired many to find their own voice and creative space in the world and is an instructor with Ifa for Kids, LLC.. Iya Sangoyemi believes that Ifa provides tools for attaining one’s highest form of their destiny, while one’s Ori and Egun (Ancestors) provide the foundation.
